Tale of the empty path.

There is a path to happiness, a path straight and un-fraught by peril.
There are no distractions on this path, just happiness, a perpetual bliss.

The sun shines on the path, and the clouds make nice contrasts on it, so you do not get burned.

Dust does not settle upon its cobbles, and the air is always fresh.

The ground is flat, the blades of grass soft on the edges of the path.

Neither mountain nor crevasse, would obstruct your way.

Yet it is an empty path. For no one walks it.

This path to happiness without obstacles is boring.

From the thousands of paths surrounding it everyone diverges.

They all chose adjacent paths and try to remain within sight of this one. All want to reach this Happiness, yet the boredom is their bane. They walk away for variance, and climb and fall off mountains. They get lost and go to misery, but always retrace their steps to find the empty path, from it, again, to walk away.

And the straight path to happiness has stayed there alone, un-trodden upon, yet in its loneliness remain our guiding line, for we never try too far to stray.
